Dominican Republic<\/a> and it’s wonderful to be home.\u00a0 I enjoyed having the opportunity to see the DR and met some very kind and interesting people.\u00a0 Sadly, due to security concerns in Santo Domingo we did get to see much.\u00a0 Even our trip to the Colonial Zone got thwarted by a crazy thunderstorm.\u00a0 It’s been quite sometime since I’ve been to a developing country and it puts things in perspective.\u00a0 I consider myself pretty self-aware and grateful for what I have, but I’m human and prone to complain about things that are quite trivial.<\/p>\nOctober holds a lot of potential.\u00a0 My calendar is filling up fast and I’m actually confused about what is happening when and where.\u00a0 I have 2 friends moving, a trip to Atlanta, a big event at work, and some volunteer responsibilities.<\/p>\n
Today I went to the Brooks Museum for the Impressionist exhibit and was not disappointed.\u00a0 For the 7 dollar admission you also get a ticket to the Dixon for the Forain exhibit.\u00a0 You can’t beat that price!\u00a0 Seriously, if you are even mildly interested in art go check it out.\u00a0 It’s ending in the next couple of weeks.\u00a0 I’ll be hitting up the Dixon next weekend.<\/p>\n
